This and That

The month of November is going by so fast. I am still in shock that my little baby turned ONE! We celebrated Olivia's birthday with family and close friends. She loved walking around while holding someones hand and of course her cake. She got so many toys that Santa is going to have a hard time finding her something..lol She loves Elmo so I did a Elmo cake and first birthday decorations. Ryan and I got her a walking toy and the night of her party she took three steps by herself. Go figure!
Mariah has gone through a separation phase with me. She was crying and fighting me to go to school and dance class for the past two weeks. Finally after talks with her and reading books she has been doing really good. Ryan and I aren't pushing dance class on her so we have decided to drop it and focus on school. Maybe when she gets older she can pick up an activity along with school.
Sickness has been going around with everyone else and has now hit our household this week. We found out that Mariah has the croup. I feel so bad for her. We spend the past couple of nights up with her because she can't breath and is coughing. Now Mommy is starting to feel really bad. I hope that we all can get to feeling better by Thanksgiving next week! But more than that Olivia doesn't catch it because that may be real bad!!
Besides these few things that have gone on, this has been what is like for the month of November for us. I can't believe November is almost over. This time last year I was taking care of a new born and being sleep deprived.I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving:)

A Fall Day

It has been so pretty out that the girls and I decided to go outside and play in the leaves. My neighbor has so many leaves in the side yard and I had been looking at them for days that I couldn't wait to take some pictures of the girls in them. Of course at first Olivia was like can I really play in these. Mariah had a ball running around in them and making the crunching noise!

Pre School

Mariah started Pre School in September and loves it. She is just going two days a week this year for a couple of hours. We heard about the school through a friend and went on a tour in April. Now let me back up and tell you that I have been blessed to be a stay at home Mom ever since Mariah was three months old. Letting her go off with out me to unfamiler people was going to be hard for me. That all changed on our tour. You know when you get that gut feeling that this is what God has planned for you, well I did. Everything was colorful and happy. Everyone was smiling and Mariah was having a blast and had to be carried out when we left.

The night before her class is when I broke down and couldn't stop crying. Thinking my goodness what is she wonders off, or a fire breaks out and I am not there. All of these thoughts running through my head. The morning came and Mariah was so excited. All ready and pretty for school I couldn't bleive my eye's. It seemed like yesterday my little girl was crawling, taking steps, and saying her first word for the first time. So of course I am taking tons of pictures of her in her school cloths and book bag. It came time to drop her off and she went in sat down and was like "Bye Mom". The other children were crying but not Mariah.

It's been a month now and Mariah still is loving going to school. She has been recognizing things that start with M like in her name and matching things together. Music class is once a week along with Church that is once a month. I would recommend Pre School to all parents thinking about it. It really helps there social skills and they really enjoy it and learn so much from it. Plus it is nice for a break for yourself also. Here are some pictures of her first day and day after.

Playing Around

After being in the house all week not feeling good, the girls and I thought we would take some pictures. I love Halloween so I always get costumes way to early because we get so excited! This year Mariah is going to be Ariel off of The little Mermaid. She is in love with Ariel now of days and I love the costume on her. Olivia on the other hand I choose a warm costume that is so cute on her. She is going to be a flower. Her little cheeks are perfect for it.

So I put up a sheet over the fireplace and tired to get some good pictures. Olivia was not interested in looking at the camera. She was to busy trying to take off her slippers that came with the outfit. But when I got her with her big sister she did so much better. I have so many pictures of Mariah on her first Halloween that I wanted just as much for Olivia. Just seeing them together I couldn't stop taking pictures of the two of them. They just melt my heart!!
