Starting off the year on January 8 I met my brother and sister that I have never known for the past twenty-eight years of my life. We met at Turfway race track that Friday night to listen to a band that I really enjoy. I was so nervous that I drank a little too much but at the end of the night my heart felt complete. I never had my Dad or that part of a family in my life so it was very exciting to meet them and start building on our relationship!
In March Mariah turned four. We had two parties for her at the house. One night was a friend party where we danced and dressed up like Hannah Montana. Then on her actual birthday we had planned for family to come over and celebrate with her. We had to move her party until the following weekend because Olivia was sick and had a febrile seizure and had to go to the hospital. Everything was fine with Olivia. Mommy, Daddy, and Olivia were tired from being up all night. Mariah was a great big sis and was fine with waiting. So Daddy took her to a birthday breakfast with Aunt Lauren and Savannah!

The end of May Mariah finished her first year of Pre-School! We went up to school to have ice cream with her class. A day later we left for North Carolina to the Walburgs house for the night before going to Myrtle Beach with them. Aunt Corrie and Michael came down for a grill out. We hung out for the night before loading up the car again for the beach. I woke up in the middle of the night to find my eye’s swollen shut. I thought I was allergic to North Carolina but my glands were swollen from the poison ivy I had and wasn’t out of my body. We had a great time with the kids at the beach and to relax without friends. Second day into it I had to go to the hospital for more antibiotics since my neck started to swell. Other than my mess we had a great time. The girls missed Aiden from weeks on!
Ryan and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary in June. We celebrated in Marco Island Flordia on a sunset dinner cruise. It was a perfect way to spend the evening together. That next day we would celebrate Lauren and Brent and they would say vow’s to each other on the beach. We gained a brother n law that day and were so happy for the both of them.

My grandma over the summer fell outside her apartment and month later had a stroke. This was life changing for her in which she had to give up her apartment and live in a nursing home. All of this happened so fast and was an emotional rollercoaster. She is such a strong woman and is making the most of it. Getting her nails painted blue and making blue and white bracelet to support her wildcats!

For Halloween Mariah dressed up as Princess Belle and Olivia was Minnie Mouse. It was a cold night for trick or treating so the girls didn’t last but an hour.

November Olivia turned the big two!! We had family at our house and had a Mickey Mouse party for her. Daddy picked up her favorite pizza to eat for everyone. The girls had a Minnie Mouse piƱata filled with toys and candy!!

This year I wouldn’t say it was the best but better than other’s. Everything can’t be perfect and be the way you would like because it’s LIFE right? It’s the little things in life that mean the most and make it all worth it. The girls have grown so much and are doing so many different things that it is so fun to watch them just blossom. In closing this year up here is to a good and healthy 2011!!
